I have been having a lot of dreams lately. Some of them were a little weird. Not ...and then I turned into a turnip... weird, but definitely not based in reality weird.
Like the one where there was going to be some sort of company party where Keith works. But instead of karaoke where everybody gets up and sings they were going to have employees get up on stage and strip. Sort of Full Monty, which is weird because he works at city hall and you wouldn't think they would go for that sort of thing. In my dream I was going out shopping or something & he wanted me to stop at city hall & ask them if he could strip too. I was in the middle of stressing to the secretary or receptionist or whoever I was talking to that it would be perfectly okay if they didn't want him stripping when she stopped me and told me how much everybody was looking forward to Keith's performance.
Then there was my Hawaii 5-0 dream. We've got Netflix and we've been watching mostly old shows from the 70's. Emergency, Columbo, McMillan & Wife. Now we're on a Hawaii 5-0 kick. In my dream McGarrett had a punk son, about 25 or so. He was a real ass. He thought he was so much smarter than his dad, so he decided to be a private investigator. He put up a tent right in the parking lot in front of 5-0 headquarters and told everybody his dad was an incompetent fool that couldn't find a ham sandwich in a paper bag. If you really wanted a crime solved don't waste your time with the police, hire McGarrett, PI instead.
Of course, old man McGarrett was pissed.
Then there was my serial killer dream. Somebody was kidnapping ladies and taking them out to some remote farm & stabbing them to death. I don't remember many real details, but when the good guys came to save the day he escaped by putting on a fake cow suit and running out into the field with the real cows. I'm not sure how they could miss that, but they did.
Moo.
I had two dreams set where I grew up at down by Harmony Harbor. In both of them I escaped danger by going farther down the road and driving down the levee to Winfield. In the last one all I remember is the water was coming up faster than I expected & it was too high at the corner to make it out.
The other dream was more involved. There was some kind of post-apocalyptic scenario. I was living in my childhood home down by Harmony Harbor with a bunch of other people, about a dozen random survivors. There was another group somewhere between us and town that wanted to take over. Some of them drove by and gave us some shit, said they'd be back. I don't know why they didn't just throw down right then. Maybe they were going to get more people & come back. Anyway, we needed to get out and get out fast but they had us trapped because the road ends at the river.
That was when I came up with the brilliant plan to go down to the river & get on the levee. We had to be quick about it. There was no time to pack so we were going to have to leave most of our stuff behind. It wasn't too big of a deal because I knew we could just stop somewhere later & take whatever we needed, so I told everybody to just grab a couple changes of clothes & enough food for a day or two. We were going to cram into one van & leave the rest of the cars behind so it would look like we were still there. I remember being so proud of myself for just picking two or three of my favorite crystals and leaving the rest behind. I was going to hide them in the woods behind the house & have a treasure hunt after everything went back to normal.
