So, on Christmas I was sitting on the couch with my man, watching Midway on TV. I know, not exactly a Christmas movie, but we followed that with Die Hard, so we got a little Christmas cheer after all.
Anyway, I was sitting there, minding my own business, watching the Japanese get their asses handed to them, when I got a text message from a strange number. All it said was 'Sup?'.
I just ignored it. Wrong numbers aren't my problem. Although there was that time when somebody left a voicemail about dropping their kid off at Grandma's, or maybe it was picking the kid up, I don't remember. I did call her back and let her know Grandma doesn't have a clue what's going on.
Then about a minute later I get another text from the same wrong number. This one was more interesting.
'U want to trade 20 for head?'
I was tempted to text back, but I couldn't decide what to write. At first I thought about agreeing to 20. Won't everybody be surprised when shows up? Then I thought about seeing if this person would pay 40. Then I realized the original message was a little vague. Was the caller looking for a little Christmas cheer, so to speak, or wanting to give some Christmas cheer?
I finally decided to just ignore it, but then I started thinking. What if Keith uses my phone for some reason? Maybe we're out & his goes dead or something. Messages like 'U want to trade 20 for head?' are why so many people wind up on the Jerry Springer Show.
So, I went ahead and showed it to him. He texted back 'Who is this?'
Eventually they just answered 'Wrong #'.
Now I almost wish I didn't show it to Keith.
I always wanted to be on Springer.
